I started my business!

I always wanted to open my own business and that would be my ultimate dream. In the following days, I will start contacting some suppliers to see if they can sign me up as a reseller even if I don't have a brick-and-mortar store yet.

I opened a business number!

My wife and kids helped me prep the products that I will be sending to Amazon. So I asked my kids to help me and I told them I would pay them for their work. For the whole day, they'd been asking me, "Daddy, is there more work for us?" despite working for 1.5 hours, they wanted more and kept asking me so that they could earn more money to buy what they wanted.

Today, I labeled and boxed my products to prepare for shipping to Amazon. In total, I have about 313 products to send.

I will keep updating this blog post as I progress...

Important Safety Notice From IKEA Canada

Safety Notice
Secure it! Creating safer homes together
Dear IKEA FAMILY Member,
IKEA Canada in partnership with Health Canada, has announced that it will only sell chests of drawers that meet the voluntary North American ASTM standard requirements on free-standing stability. As part of this announcement, IKEA has also issued a recall for repair or refund on unattached chests of drawers that do not meet the free-standing stability requirements of the ASTM standard.
While IKEA is making this commitment to the free-standing stability of its chests of drawers, it will continue to make wall attachment an integral part of the assembly of IKEA chests of drawers as it really is the single best preventative measure against furniture tip-overs. IKEA believes the best way to prevent furniture from tipping over is to secure it to the wall. That is why IKEA has provided tip-over restraints with many types of its furniture and makes it a required step in assembly instructions.
To demonstrate the importance of securely anchoring furniture to the wall,
IKEA Canada has issued a recall for repair or refund of those unattached chests of drawers in consumers’ homes that do not comply with the free-standing stability requirements of the North American ASTM standard and are above 60cm for children’s chests of drawers and above 75cm for adult chests of drawers. A list of affected chests of drawers can be found on IKEA’s website at www.ikea.ca/saferhomestogether.
Customers who, for any reason, cannot secure their IKEA chests of drawers to the wall are now advised to bring them back to any IKEA location for a refund. Customers are entitled to a full refund for chests and dressers manufactured between January 2002 and June 2016. Chests of drawers manufactured prior to 2002 will be eligible for a partial store credit. For any customer that still wants to keep their IKEA chests of drawers, but who did not keep their tip-over restraint, a free wall anchoring kit can be picked up at any IKEA location or one can be delivered to their home by contacting the Customer Support Centre at 1-800-661-9807 or by visitingwww.ikea.ca/saferhomestogether.
Consumers are urged to immediately stop using and move any unanchored IKEA chest of drawers into storage where they cannot be accessed by children until the chests of drawers are properly anchored to the wall or returned to an IKEA location. If customers have securely anchored their IKEA chests of drawers to the wall then they are fine to use and no further action is required.
In summer 2015, IKEA Canada launched the “Secure It” campaign to educate consumers on the best way to prevent tip-over accidents and to provide tools to help them achieve that. To-date, IKEA has handed out more than 45,000 free wall-anchoring kits to Canadians. This is in addition to the tip-over restraints that have been shipped with IKEA chests of drawers for years.
The “Secure It” furniture tip-over prevention campaign is part of a larger “Safer Homes Together” initiative that focuses on educating customers about safety at home. As part of the program, IKEA Canada announced in October 2015 that it will only sell cordless window blinds and coverings, being the first Canadian retailer to take this voluntary action.

40/333 Studying Objective-C For iOS Programming

I am studying the programming language Objective-C for developing iOS applications since I'm investing on it. Xcode looks a lot more easy to use than Eclipse, well that's just for my opinion. Once I'm ready and once I know how does it works, I will make my very own application that no one made it yet. Of course, I need a lot of  time to study this language. I need to master Mac OS as well for me to be able to be a professional on Xcode since it only runs on Mac OS's.

I really want to make my soundboard already but I'm still thinking if what could be the design of my app and what could be its content. What am I going to add, because I only have animal sounds at the moment. Should I download a entertainment sounds and put it on other tab? Should I make a category instead? Lots of questions are in my mind right now on doing this, well that's normal. You have to widen your mind once you're thinking for the uniqueness of the application you're making. Right now, I am downloading different source codes from different developers for free so I can study how do they work.

This is a journey for my future career and I need to keep my head up. I'll see you later, take care!

37-38-39/333 Developing An App For iOS

Three days has passed without opening my blogger and I'm surprised that I missed three days of not posting. So I'm gonna write everything what I did by the last three days here.

I've been busy developing and researching an app for iOS, I am spending my whole day in front of my computer coding and learning something new. I planned to make a clone of a flappy bird and I made my own version named Flappy Jet Crash. I hope that everyone will download my app. Right now, the app status is still "Waiting for review" and it is likely 5-10 business days. I am so excited to get my app approved by the review department from Apple because I know that with this kind of app, I'm gonna make money even though it's not big. And also, I want to make another app, what kind of app? A soundboard which has a lot of sounds to press. I hope the hundred dollar investment is worth it.

I have lots of plans on making apps for iOS, but I really need a hard time to study on how everything works on Objective-C. Even I'm not going to school, I have to study by my own. This is for my career anyways, so I need not to be lazy at all times.

I'm reading lots of articles from the web like "how much does the iAd banner make?" and I am glad to see that the numbers are pretty high. I want to make many apps as I can so that one day, one of my apps can hit the pot of gold, who knows right?

I'll see you late, take care!

35/333 News From Crashed Plane

I was stunned when I saw the news that Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 missing from radar when they are cruising from 36,000 feet and climbing. The reported disappearance of the aircraft is just 1 hour ago after take off. I'm thinking that this incident is something with terrorist, or bombing because there is no mayday call from the pilot and nothing else. Air traffic controller have just lost contract from the said flight. Rescuers are looking for the debris in the middle of the ocean and found nothing until today. They just found a oil slicks that they believe it was the jets fuel. There are 239 passengers on board including the aircraft crews.

I never saw a news like this before and I thought I was just watching Mayday from Discovery Channel. Mayday gave me some clues on what could be the possible cause of this crash. It's kinda scary boarding in a plane now if there are terrorist that can pass security check in the airport.

Let's pray for flight MH370.

I'll see you later, take care!
